Message from the SEMAN President

It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to the official website of the Solar Electric Manufacturers Association Nepal (SEMAN).

For more than two decades, SEMAN has served as a common platform for Nepal’s solar industry, contributing to energy access through solar home systems, mini-grids, solar irrigation, institutional systems, rooftop solar and utility-scale projects. The sector has evolved from supporting rural electrification to becoming an important part of Nepal’s clean-energy transition.

Solar energy has significant potential to complement hydropower, strengthen energy security, reduce dependence on fossil fuels, and support agriculture, industries, employment and sustainable economic development.

SEMAN remains committed to promoting quality, innovation, investment, technology, skilled human resources and a strong domestic solar industry. We will continue to work closely with the Government, AEPC, NEA, financial institutions, development partners and private-sector stakeholders to establish a supportive and sustainable environment for solar energy development.

The future of Nepal’s solar industry depends on collaboration, innovation and collective commitment. Together, let us harness Nepal’s abundant solar potential to build a cleaner, greener, more prosperous and energy-secure Nepal.

I sincerely thank all SEMAN members, government agencies, development partners and stakeholders for their continued support and cooperation.

Mr. Bharat Kumar Malla
